Mango's, from breakfast to 9 pm

Mango's Restaurant is the sit-down restaurant at South Beach Casino & Resort. From Monday to Saturday it opens at 8 am and closes at 9 pm. On Sunday the doors open later, at 11:30 am, and close at 9 pm. Supper there fits anywhere between check-in at 4 pm and 9 pm.

Breakfast runs from 8 to 11 am, Monday to Friday, and from 8 to 11:30 am on Saturday. Sunday morning works differently. For breakfast that day, go to The Palms Buffet, which serves from 8 to 11:30 am. That leaves time to eat before the noon check-out.

The Palms on weekends

The Palms Buffet opens to the public on weekends only. Dinner is served Friday and Saturday from 4 to 9 pm. Breakfast follows on Saturday and Sunday, from 8 to 11:30 am.

From Monday to Thursday the buffet is closed to the public, and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it is held for bus tours. A weekday stay means supper at Mango's or the Blue Dolphin instead. Children can order from a kids' menu at the buffet.

Late orders at the Blue Dolphin

The Blue Dolphin Bar is the resort's lounge, open every day from 11 am to 2 am. It keeps three menus: dine-in, drink and late-night. The kitchen takes orders until midnight from Sunday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday it keeps cooking until 1 am.

Local musicians play on Friday and Saturday nights, and there is no cover. The resort lists who is playing on its entertainment page at southbeachcasino.ca. After the kitchen stops, the bar itself stays open until 2 am.

The café in the lobby

Down in the hotel lobby, South Beach Café never closes. It serves coffee, muffins, sandwiches and drinks, and wireless Internet comes at no charge. After the Blue Dolphin kitchen stops at midnight or 1 am, this is where a late snack comes from. Room-service hours are not published, so call the main line at 204.766.2100 to ask.
